Alianza Building Services is a Certified Maryland Corporation and a Certified Small Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Business that began operations in 2007. The company was founded on the vision of Erika Cabezas, who brings more than 26 years of experience in the custodial and maintenance industry.

Ms. Cabezas established Alianza with a clear purpose. She wanted to build a company that uses techniques and procedures that are safer for people and healthier for the environment. Her approach reflects a long-term commitment to responsible service and sustainable practices.

She believes the decisions we make today shape the environment we leave to future generations. Sustainability is not optional. It is a shared responsibility.

  1. Chemicals that are safer for the people who use them.
  2. Chemicals that contain zero VOC’s.
    – Products that are 100% biodegradable are safer for people, buildings and for the environment.
  3. Chemical source reduction.
    – One example of source reduction is to eliminate the chemical stripping of floors.
Example: Stripping 100,000 square feet of floor finish puts 1.4 tons of sludge back into the environment through drop sinks, and other means that dramatically effect water treatment processes and water sheds.
